Microsoft Windows 10 is officially retired
We don’t want to sound like a broken record, but we’ve finally reached the end of life for Windows 10. On October 14, Microsoft officially stopped supporting it, so if you haven't upgraded yet, we recommend moving this task to the top of your list.

Microsoft Windows 10 is officially retired
On October 14, 2025, Microsoft officially ended its support for Windows 10. This means any PC currently running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, technical support and general improvements from Microsoft.
If you’ve already updated your computers to Windows 11, great job! ⭐ You get a gold star from us. ⭐ Feel free to carry on with your day.
For those of you who haven’t upgraded yet, we get it. October snuck up on us, too. But we need to talk.
Secure computers are important for every office, but if your organization must comply with HIPAA or other privacy regulations, your network is particularly vulnerable and no longer compliant.
With each passing day, any computer running an older version of Windows is more likely to be targeted by hackers.
What should you do?
Contact your IT provider right away. At Grand Consulting, we’ve spent the past year checking in with our clients, visiting their offices, and auditing hundreds of computers.
Some workstations updated to Windows 11 easily, while others didn’t quite have the technical “horsepower” to run the new software. Because of this, we have replaced quite a few computers this year.
But if you’re at all unsure, just give us a call. We can take a look at all your computers and tell you exactly what needs to be done. Easy as that!
